Menu, please! — Order like a local!

Because ordering great food takes more than just translation — it takes know-how. We make ordering Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and more food simple by helping you understand the menu, place orders, and communicate your preferences.

Menu, please! is a free AI-powered menu translation app for foodies traveling in Asia. Snap a photo of a restaurant menu and get a complete translation with dish descriptions, ingredients, cultural context, and an in-app ordering workflow.

Supported menu languages: Japanese, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Cantonese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Hindi, Indonesian, Malay, and Arabic.

What you can do

Made with love (for food)

After marrying into Taiwanese culture and spending 3+ years learning Mandarin, I still found ordering food very challenging despite knowing the language. I want to build a tool to bridge the language gap so more foodies can order like locals.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes! Our goal is to build the best ordering companion that's available for everyone. You can support us by providing your feedback, sharing Menu, please! with friends, or buying us a boba tea.

How is it better than Google Translate?

Menu, please! is built with one goal: enabling foodies to order like a local from start to finish. One photo captures the entire menu — no line-by-line hovering. Our AI understands menu layouts, sections, sides, and footnotes. Every dish gets a deep-dive with ingredients, flavors, and cultural context. And you can order directly through the app with translated text or audio.

Why do I need to create an account?

To save time and data. Every translated menu is saved in your Menu History. No need to translate the menu again just to check what's available for dessert. You can delete your account at any time in your account settings.

How do I report a bug or share a feature idea?

Help us squash bugs and build features you want by reporting issues and sharing your ideas at menu-please.canny.io/feedback.
